I don't have a problem with the shadows.
I do find that first image of the set almost too perfectly composed. That is not a complaint. I think its a marvelous picture. The two bicycles at opposing angles with that monolithic, yet almost gothic building on the far side of the wall is great. The limited palette of colors is also very strong and almost stylized.
There is a theme running through the pics of bicycle, wall and then massive buildings behind.
He's a talented guy.
And props to those pedaling those amazing loads. I'd hate to have to push one of those bikes into a headwind.
