Yep, I'll pick up anything that might look useful to me, that I have room for. Which can be quite a bit on days I take a trailer. So far I have picked up:

Hats-mostly ballcaps, which I wear all the time.
Hand Tools
Gloves-sometimes I get lucky and find both to a pair.
Building Materials-odds and ends of boards, pipe, etc. Sometimes I'll pick something up, to try to think of a project to use it for.
Buckets
Lifejackets-usually Type III or IV
Fishing Tackle
Clothes-Found a nice fleece top once that fit the wife after it was washed.
