Savvy cyclists use a virtual 'bikebox' position when stopped at intersections if at the front of the line on slow speed city streets. I certainly do coming downhill on 12th on capitol hill. im going to ride thru there today and check it out, i'll try to remember to get pictures.
why not paint them in and educate the motorists as to how bicyclists ride vehicularily along streets and roads enhanced for bicycling?
why not change the bike lane designs so that they are not to the right of right turning traffic?
