The other thing I was going to say before the crack was to simply spread it out by hand to fit in a 130mm wheel each time. But don't try to cold-set it.
I might be able to get it welded for free...that is what I'm going to try next.

One stay was bent more than the other so it wouldn't have been straight. Also, I tried to spread it but could only get it to about 120mm or so by hand. With a vice I could spread it to 130 but there was no feasible way to stuff a wheel in there...and if I ever needed to change the wheel or had a flat or something I would need my vice to get the wheel out!!
