Yea, more lumens, more bright it is. In the city I put it on 9 lumens. Then only time i had it over 100lumens was when we did a night ride (12am-6am) outside the city where there are roads with absolutely no lights. Visibility is great. Just make sure u angle it a bit lower so u don't blind people
