Once dry, it leaves a smooth texture that's easy to grip, but not tacky or sticky. It will slightly stiffen the fake cork stuff, though. Wasn't a deal breaker for me. I rode with 4-5 coats on the Soma Thick'n'Zesty cork wrap and really like it.
