If you want to replace your crank and chainring that's fine, but unless they're broken you don't have to. You can just thread a freewheel onto your hub. With any luck it'll line up with your small chainring. If not, just rearrange the spacers on your wheel and get the wheel redished. This is the cheapest way to do it. If you want to do it "right" get a new crank.
