Well mine would be in the $1,000+ range here in Europe. So I bought a 2008 model in the US steeply discounted then brought it back here with me. All told I paid $600 for an awesome bike..I have since invested a bit in new handle bars, seat, and front light which push it up to about $750. Not bad for a bike with an Alfine hub, disc breaks, pretty decent components, and a bad ass look. So I justified my purchase by getting a killer deal that brought it within my budget.
