Does your wife feel comfortable on the bike? I've always thought WSD was all marketing. Not all women have long torsos and short legs. Some have short torsos and long legs (they're called fashion models). I've always wondered how they could generalize physiology to exclude so much of their market and still sell the bikes!

I have two Trek WSD (road and mountain) and love them. They fit so much better than the men's bikes in the same size. When I bought the Trek 520 touring bike it didn't come in WSD so the bike shop changed the stem and seat post to give me a better fit. For smaller people the WSD design is wonderful.
One of the male members of our cycling club bought a WSD bike and loves it.
