The reason I'm asking this question is becasue I'm building a stiff large diameter Aluminum frame (kind of the opposite of my steel bike)
I'm also thinking about using a stiff Deep V style rim in conjuction with this frame and I while this may be great for handling/climbing/accelerating it may increase the ride harshness.
Right now I use a fairly compliant steel frame with "comfort flex" mavic MA2 rims. Heck, it so comfortable I could jack my tire pressure to 145psi and not be bothered by harshness. I just don't other characteristics of the frame.
The CF stuff I'm thinking about adding might useful in damping any vibration from the stiff wheels/frame
I would have a good amount of seatpost sticking out so maybe CF may work well in that regard.
