Can I just put a strip of nicely trimmed electrical tape or something on the top of the chain stay so I can ride until I find something permanent or will that damage the paint?
If anyone knows where to get a chain stay protector that says Fuji and isn't permanent, that would be cool too.
Low tech solution: For my 2002 Zeus Pro, I found several Zeus logos on the internet or in literature I have at home, downloaded or scanned them and printed them out on my basic home HP printer. Cut the paper to fit my chain stay and used a strip of clear packing tape to tape them to the drive-side chain stay. Been on there three years and still look fine. You can apply two layers of tape, if you think you need more protection against chain slap. I will replace when they fade, wear out, or get dinged up.
Also, I took a pair of Planet Bike bar end plugs, pried off the clear plastic cap, glued a Zeus logo behind it and replaced. Why not?
