Candidly, I wish I could get more balance. I think I do too many club rides, and our rides tend to be quite competitive. The road race that I participated in last weekend did not have anywhere near the intensity of our standard rides. I often plan to just spin, but I get caught up in the excitement and wind up doing long, fast pulls, and then contest all of the sprints. The good news is that whatever I have been doing seems to work quite well to make one competitively proficient.
