I have been considering adding a set of 50mm carbon clinchers to my wheel collection for a few weeks now. I realize that I don't need them but I really like having a set and I am kind of missing my Zipp 404's. I have been looking at a few different companies including Williams, Soul, YishunBike, Spinergy, and of course Psimet. After reading about all of the great experiences with Psimet on here it almost seems like a crime to not go with him, especially since buying from him would allow me to support a member of this site.
I originally wanted to have my PowerTap built into a rear wheel but that didn't work out since my PT Pro+ is 32 hole and he doesn't have any carbon 50mm rims in 32 hole at this time. Hopefully that will change in the future, if it does I'll be begging him to do another build for me.
Anyway, here is the build that he came up for me. Keep in mind that I am heavy at this time so he designed a build with that in mind.
Front=Novatech A141 hub laced to a Psimet Clincher rim 24f/2X using DT-Comp-Black spokes and DT-12mm-Brass-Silver nipples
Rear=Novatech F162 hub with Shimano freehub body laced to a Psimet Clincher rim 28r/2X using DT-Comp-Black spokes on the Drive Side and laced 2X using DT-Comp-Black spokes on the Non-Drive Side and DT-12mm-Brass-Silver nipples
