Specifically for the clinchers - without trying to make it a commercial - I seem to recall that the some of the basic configurations usually come in the 1700-1800g range for the set (50mm). Complex configurations can get lower....like in the 1500g range - with some heavy price adders.
Getting lighter requires switching the rims to EDGE/ENVE which increases the price exponentially but can result in 1300g range carbon clinchers at 45mm deep. ....FWIW.
i'm getting sucked into the lightness game myself. upgraded to a lighter aero frame...
lighter saddle, lighter bars, lighter groupset....now i'm looking at my wheels and they're aero but they could be lighter.
not that the stuff is going to make me magically better. but to be shocked by the bike's lightness every time i lift it off the rack...pretty cool.
