I was born and bred in Nottingham, and YES I had the very same bike as a teenager 1979 ish
It was either gold or sliver, cant really remember, it was a great bike, as new from the factory, it was a Christmas present, a family friend worked for Raleigh in Nottingham (as did a lot of folks back then :-( ).

My recollections looking at your pictures:
1. mine had quick release hubs front and back, (yours seems to have a non-original front hub)
2. mine had a high ratio gear set, might be the same as yours, but not sure
3. mine had toe clips
3. mine had a standard set of racing handlebars, with no outward sweep to them.
4. mine did have the rear carrier to it.
