Yea, it's all the people who are watching for E-Bay bargains that drive up prices. Most people have an idea of what something is worth, so they bid until the price exceeds their idea of its value. Nothing you'll ever do about that. It's just what it is.

I guess the best place for you to look would be garage sales & newspaper want ads. Those places will be alot cheaper, but you'll be hard pressed to find the bike you want there. Just keep looking, your bike is out there.
