Dang....I almost have to go the same route...heres mine:

Starting in Santa Clara, Go down Central Expy which merges into Alma St, Right on University, through Dumbarton bridge, through marshlands, left on thornton, which becomes paso padre pkwy, Left on arden wood which becomes union city blvd, straight through hesperian, finally a right on Winton Ave into Hayward(Jackson ave).

How long would that take...I'm still working on getting my fitness level up so I can tackle it...Im still a noob in cycling.
