Something like a a pair of fiber-fix kevlar spokes would be a much better idea than even the hyper-cracker style freewheel removers; You don't have to deal with carrying all the possible different spoke lengths you'd need, they're extremely easy to install, even on drive-sides, and they'll last more than long enough to get you to a bike shop. Or heck, even to the end of the tour.
Never heard of these, but they sound fantastic. Where do you get 'em, and how do they work?
