Hey all!
So, you may or may not remember that I was hit by a car about a week ago (the details of which are chronicled in this thread:
http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...-car-what-next) and was left SOL with a TOTALLED bike.
Well, after a bit of looking around and questioning (interrogating?) every bike store within a 20 mile radius, I finally got what I think is a good offer on a pretty decent bike. The bike is a Cannondale Caad9 Optimo 4, and the price I was quoted was $800 (hoping to get it down to 700-750). Is this a good deal?
I couldn't find a lot of info on the bike, all Google searches came up with a 2007 model bike so I'm assuming 2007 was the only year this particular model was released. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
AFAIK, the bike is stock (forgot to ask if it comes with or without pedals, but that's irrelevant since the owner almost certainly uses clipless, and I, being a college commuter, don't!).
It seems like a pretty good deal to me. What do you guys think? I really hope this comes through, because after a week off cycling I'm starting to go a little crazy!!!
Thanks!
