Yesterday I made a 60 mile trip (farthest I've ever gone in my life and surprised the heck out of me). The problem is my junk got quite numb and it still is somewhat this morning. Should I be concerned? Should I see a doctor? Am I possibly sitting the wrong way? Is it just too much pressure from my heavy body to go that far? I obviously feel pretty comfortable or I wouldn't be able to ride for 4 hours and I had no idea I was numb until I got home. Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
First of all, the feeling will come back. Stay off the bike for a few days. See your doctor if you like, but the numbness should go away on its own, and all the doctor will tell you to do is stop riding. If the 'junk' still works despite the numbness, you are OK.
The cause could be any or all of:
- bad saddle position and bike fit
- bad for you saddle
- not standing or moving around on the bike
