Sturmey-Archer AW hub slips in all gears. Halp?

So, about a year ago, the hub on my trusty old Triumph roadster started slipping. I'd push the pedals and they'd slip throughout their 360-degree range, with a loud "click" approximately once or twice per revolution. On the "clicks", the hub would get a little traction, but not much. I could pedal furiously and the bike would stay in one place. I presumed that the problem was old oil that had gummed up the works, keeping the pawls springs from being able to push the pawls all the way into the outward position.

After life getting in the way of a rebuild for most of a year, I finally had the chance to tear down the hub (the first time I've done this sort of thing, BTW). Sure enough, the hub was pretty dry, and most surfaces had some gummy oil residue on them. From inspecting the parts, I found that one of the 4 planetary pinions had a couple of chipped teeth, and a couple of the pawls had slight wear to the edge that engages the planet cage or gear ring (or whatever it is). The clutch looked good, and I could find no other damage, just gunk.

So I got a new set of planetary pinions, new pawls and springs, and carefully cleaned all of the gunk out of everything and put it back together again. I added the recommended 2 Tbsp of 10W-30 oil and put the wheel back in the bike again. I adjusted the indicator rod so that the shoulder of the rod just appeared in the window, when the shifter was in 2nd gear.

However, when I tested it, the slipping was just as it was before, and damned if I can figure out what's causing it! Googling hasn't turned up anything more than Sheldon Brown's page on S-A hubs and adjustments, where he talks about slippage as related to indicator rod adjustment.

Is it possible that the right side cone nut could be at fault, if it was not adjusted properly? Any other ideas? I've got to get the bike ready for a big ride this Sunday, so unfortunately, it's unlikely I'd be able to place an order with Harris or anyone else to get parts before then, but at the same time, I simply could not find anything wrong with the parts in the hub, either.

Any advice would be appreciated!
