As an alternative, I'm with Thrifty Bill on the Vx - those Suntour V's provide excellent shifting performance.

The Suntour DT Power ratcheting shifters really are wonderful shifters. (I personally prefer DT shifters to barcons because of the cleaner cable routing.)
