When the alarm went off this morning it was raining. I thought installing fenders was supposed to end that? I was going to ride anyway, but the rain kindly stopped before I left. The roads were wet, but no standing water. And it was darker than usual because of the clouds. Luckily my commute route is pretty well covered with street lights. My light set up is more for being seen than seeing. I do have some better lights on order for night riding. Anyone else use spoke lights? I have this spider spoke light that I picked up a while back that I finally installed and I love it! It makes me way more visible. Thinking about getting some more.

My commute route passes by Grady High School where parents pull over and drop off kids. Today some of that area has no parking signs up, probably for trucks bringing in stuff for the Green concert this weekend. So two cars in front of me, the car pulls over slightly, but mostly stops in the road. As the car in front of me and me move to go around to the left, dumb kid in the back seat throws open her door and the car in front of me has to slam on brakes so he doesn't hit it. And I had to brake quickly too. Only the 2nd time I've had to stop that fast. Guess I did a decent job installing the new brakes. It helped that I was just getting started and not going that fast. Girl that got out of the car just stood there with a dumb look on her face. I didn't say anything, but she probably got a bit of stink eye.
