i don't know if they sell them anymore, but i'm a big fan of kevlar tape liners. they're reusable. got one tape for a mountain bike tire, cut it in half down the middle and apply the two strips to my front and back road tires. gone thru 2 sets of tires with only one puncture. i'm so confident in them now, i don't bother bringing a pump (well, my hand pump is lousy anyway for high psi; figure if i get another puncture flat, it would justify buying a co2 pump)
