Folks lets not expect ROBO cars to be PERFECT...they just have to make better use of very precioussssss road space and fuel; and have a better safety record, than human driven vehicles would. Vision recognition software and hardware has made drastic improvement over the years....look at the breakthroughs in medicine with robotic arms, eyes, and haptics in recent years. At some point I imagine a vehicle would not even be allowed on the roadway unless it has these features.
