Had a doctor's appt this AM and had to go to the pharmacy, so I ended up not leaving for work until after lunch. Still raining pretty hard, though not as bad as it had been earlier, temp in the 50s. I started thinking to myself about five miles in that it was a little surprising I hadn't seen anyone else on a bike yet. Yes, it was raining and yes it was 1:30 PM, but... jus then, two cyclists were going the other way on the MUP. Other than them, I saw no one on my commute in.

Home by car with my wife after a concert tonight and then metro in tomorrow AM. Sad that my bike will be here all alone and I won't get to ride it until I go home tomorrow.

Long weekend planned w/ a couple days off next week and a trip to Chicago Sat-Tues. Hope to rent bikes on the Lakefront and do a little riding for an hour or two with my (non-cyclist) wife while there. Weather's supposed to be primo!
