It's a shame you didn't jump earlier. If you were stuck in the US, someone could have express mailed a couple of adaptors, and they'd be there tomorrow, or Saturday. I don't know where you're stuck, but now that I see you need a creative emergency solution, that calls for some creative thinking.
First and easiest, visit any gas station and take a look at a tubeless tire (auto) valve. One end is Schrader, so you're halfway there. The other end varies valve to valve, but they usually have a conical hole in the rubber base. It it fits over your Presta valve, you can try making some kind of seal with scrap rubber tubing. At the hardware store you might find clear PVC tubing with an OD you might jam up into your Thumblock SV pump head, then force the other end over your PV. If you cut it the right length you might be able to maintain a seal by pushing up against the shoulder of the valve.
Take both your pump and a tube into various stores, put on your thinking cap, and look for anything that you can modify or finagle to solve your problem. I'm sure that with a bit of creative thought you can get back on the road soon.
BTW- no matter where you are today, odds are there are cyclists around. If all else fails, stand by the side of the road with a sign saying "PLEASE HELP A STRANDED CYCLIST, WHO needs a tube or pump"
