Last time we rode Zaca Station the vineyards were using a new device to scare off the birds which was like simulated shotgun blasts. So here we are riding through this beautiful area and every few minutes BOOM! I can't beleive they think this is a good idea.
That part of Foxen Cyn should be a breeze on the Calfee! It is pretty bad but there are worse roads out there. Those guns are annoying, some of the vinyards near us used to use them but I don't think I've heard them in a while. I think the birds get used to the noise and after a while it doesn't scare them anymore.

Regarding the dyno-hub, check out the Schmidt. I believe it is the lightest one out there and it also has the lowest drag.
