I would not say they are the best Hybirds but, I have a Trek 7500 and my wife has a Trek 7300 and both bike are awesome. I went with the 7500 because of the better components on the 2009 model I have but, Trek has since put the a step lower components on the 7500 to keep price the same. Mine has the Deore components and now they have the same ones as the 7300 on them still good components for the price IMO. I guess in the end it is all out to what you are looking for and when you like about your bike.
Personally I'm looking at going to a cyclocross for my ride next year. I have looked at the Redline and the Trex XO series and even the Colnago WC. They are all nice bike its just a really hard choice to make as I ride mostly all lime stone rail to trails. I will still ride my Hybird but some of the places on the trails is be better suited for the Cyclocross IMHO.
