As a matter of fact, I am not so keen either on the car culture, but mixing cycling with it is rather challenging at times and if you are in high traffic area, than I think you'd agree with me. Try riding on the streets of NY for the first time and you'll see what I'm talking about. I don't know if you have ever read A&S before, but we are presented with a great deal of challenges and it's not a joke. From the first time I started riding till' now, my awareness on the road has jumped greatly and that didn't happen without a reason.
In spite of all that, I still would like to see a lot more cyclists on the road, but I would like them to know that more awareness they got, the better things are, and it's definitely not something you acquire over night, and also that what they wear will only effect their comfort and performance, what others think of it has very little bearing on things unless you let it.
Other fact about cycling is that it's awesome and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
You've yet to state any facts.
