My LBS carries 27 x 1 1/4" Kenda gumwalls for $7.95, and Avenir Kevlar-belted in 1 1/4" or 1 1/8" for a dollar more. I've bought a few sets of both for bikes I've rebuilt, and either one is a perfectly serviceable tire.
