Hey Aaron... I'm not terribly worried about the tubeset...I just figure, if I'm going to go thru the trouble of finding one, and I have options, I might as well find the
right one! I have SL and SLX framed bikes and they both ride well.
I found a 56 Primato last night...already built up with Campy 9s...but, a little small unfortunately...56/56. Could be made to work, simply a little more seatpost and another 10-15mm on the stem...I dunno.
What range of frame size do most people here work with? Do you buy stuff 2-3cm small/large on the seat or top and compensate with posts and stems? ...or do you always try to hit your target???

I'm of the same opinion on tubing that most others here have...the fit, geometry, tires and saddle make more difference in ride characteristics that the tubeset. I've ridden bikes made of the same tubing that ride VERY differently...the 531db Velosolex rode like a totally different animal than the Raleigh Professional.
