Question is...in Campy's evolution to reinvent this shifter they changed in just two short years...which is quite telling IMO...they are struggling to get it right...is if the dumbed down aka new Escape single gear a time down the cassette shifter is really a better shifting lever...without the cable drag issue. This isn't a certainty, but Campy changed it again for a reason. Yes that reason could be market differentiation with 11s...or hopefully...the new 2011 shifter may shift more solidly even though more limited..only being to upshift one cog down at a time. I believe it will pull aka climb the cassette three cogs with a full lever pull.
Cheers.
