He couldn't stop further away, his passenger might have to walk a few hundred meters! Edmonds station is horrible for this. The line of cars picking up and dropping off in the no stopping zone blocks the entrance to the parking lot built for passenger pick up and drop off.
I took the short route to work this morning. Stayed up late last night waiting for my wife to come home.
