Very pleasant ride this morning; cool temps (shorts, long sleeve wicking tee, and full finger gloves for me, though I might have been okay with short sleeves and fingerless gloves once I got going.) Half finger gloves for the ride home for sure!

Way too much traffic passing the local high school -- I almost had to look at my watch to see if I was especially early or late. No traffic at all on Chain Bridge Road, instead of the usual mile plus back up. My total riding time was 5 minutes less than normal, because I was able to ride down the hill at speed instead of creeping past the stopped cars!

Also -- This was my first ride with rack and panniers instead of a backpack. That's going to take getting used to, but that's the subject of another post.
