That's a bizarre story. I wonder what that guy was up to. If he rolled the car, he may have been in shock, and not thinking clearly?
I was driving cross-country once, in a car that (unbeknownst to me) had trouble with altitude. It broke down in the Bighorn mountains in Wyoming. An old couple drove by, pulled over, and offered me a jump-start, then asked if I'd like them to "telephone a highway patrolman." I told them no, that who I needed help from was a mechanic, and they wished me luck as they headed off on their way. In retrospect, I hope I didn't scare them!
