France and Spain are pretty easy to do together. Go to Pau, France. Ride the great climbs in the Pyranees, Tourmalet, Aubisque, etc.

Then just a short drive south, go to San Sebastian, Spain, ride parts of the Classico San Sebastian route, lay on the beach, and eat at the cheapest Michelin 3 star restaurnats you'll find anywhere.

Did that in 2005 when L'Etape was in Pau. Great trip.
