Man, getting stuck under a car... then dragged. Did you get burned by the exhaust pipe or engine?
The way you describe it the accident sounds like a classic sidewalk cycling accident... elderly drivers scare the crap outta me. I bet he would have accelerate had you been coming the other way on the road anyways.
Not to alarm you - you are very VERY lucky. A friend actually told me a horrible story of how he found a dead young woman. The young woman was hit almost the same way you were, then while still on the ground the driver continued. This woman, she became snagged on the car's undercarriage. She was dragged under the car to her eventual death at the hands of the elderly driver. Dragged for kilometers and kilometers. That night my friend found a slick on the road, it was reflecting like water but, the short rainfall had already dried up so he figured it wasn't water. He went over to the trail and noticed it was blood, he then followed it to the old woman's driveway. There he found this young woman's corpse - the body had finally been dislodged from the undercarriage after the car went over the curb and into the driveway. Police had been searching for this driver for hours but, the blood trail had been washed away at some point during a brief rain-storm that evening. Old woman never saw anything. Claimed she thought she hit a pot-hole or something.
Anyways hope you heal up nice, ask in the road forum about road rash - they know how to fix it - and stay off the sidewalk. Godspeed!
