No morning commute for me today. Had to drop my son off at daycare and be at work in time for a "Town hall" presentation... Yesterday was a little eventful. A transit bus tried to shove me into oncoming traffic when he pulled out of the bus stop! I rode slowly down the centre of the lane after passing him to make sure he could see me after I completed the pass. Rode into MEC in Vancouver to get new brake pads and a bell (I'm finally legal! :O ). Two blocks from home I met the scofflaw cyclist in person and wanted so badly to smack some sense into him. He ran the stop sign without looking and nearly hit me, rode on the wrong side of the road, made a left turn from the oncoming lane while running another stop sign and filtered up the right hand side past cars signalling a right turn. Now I know why motorists hate us. Nothing this guy did was legal or predictable.
