Apologies if this is the wrong forum

Anyway I'd like to update an old AustroDaimler AD-SLE 10 speed (2x5) race
bike w/ a Reynolds 531 frame

I'd like to do 2 things:
1. Replace the dropdown handlebars w/ either flat or low rise handlebars
2. Replace the 2x5 shifters on the downtube with either new trigger or twist
shifters on the handlebars

Suggestions?

Motivation is my 45+yr back finds the dropdown position increasingly uncomfortable.
Bike is in otherwise great condition & I luv the ride.
