Well, as much as I hate to break the trend of mechanical failures, I had a relatively uneventful commute on this crisp, sunny morning. Getting more used to the feel of riding with the load in panniers, but it is still a bit weird.
Another day of no traffic on chain bridge road, so again I did my eleven and a half miles in under 50 minutes. Most people are wearing leg coverings of some sort, and I suppose I'll succumb if the temp drops another 5-10 degrees. I almost pulled on an outer layer for the top, but once I got pedaling, I was fine. Need to find or replace my clear glasses, darn it!
One moment of inattention on my part -- crossing some pedestrian paths near the Lincoln Memorial I think I pulled in front of another cyclist who probably had right of way.
Oh, in the 'good deed' department (I hope), I turned off another cyclist's rear blinkie which was dutifully flashing while the bike was parked at the rack. I hope he hadn't just run inside for a momentary errand...
