The key phrase for me in the OP is "What am I gonna do about it?" The comment, if accurate, comes across rather belligerent. Had the person made a specific reasonable suggestion, I could see being a bit more lenient. That said, probably best to cut the hassle and offer a refund if buyer pays return shipping with insurance. Who knows? You may find the broken part was a case of operator error and be able to resell it.
