Just found this thread. Yes, we went through France using trains and our New World Tourists, starting in Normandy all the way down to Languedoc-Roussilon and finishing in Provence. 740 kms on the bikes with way too much luggage, they did great! Having traveled (and struggled) with full sized bikes packed in boxes before, I must say that folding bike for travel wins hands down.
