Ebay in 2000 is nothing like Ebay in 2005! I was buying and selling on Ebay back then and I have to tell you there is a BIG difference nowadays. Everybody and their mother knows what Ebay is now and they aren't afraid to shop on the net anymore. A recent example of the morons on Ebay: I was looking to get a coffe pot for my mom for Mother's Day. I decided to try Ebay. The standard Mr. Coffee 12 cup maker could be found on Ebay for about $29.95. I decided to try Wal Mart.Com and guess what, the same coffee maker was the same exact price and I wouldn't have to pay shipping at Wal Mart. So what morons think their getting a deal there? That is just one example, I see people over paying on used items ALL the time. I've been scoping some bikes on Ebay and although you may be able to find a good deal every once in a while, most of them are selling for WAY too much IMO for a 5, 6, 10 year old USED bikes.
