This is small stuff, but for a small company like Campy trying to satisfied the masses, which have different expectations depending on which sector you see, it is difficult to do stuff like this. Shimano has always been the bigger company and as a consequence has always had the advantage of doing things quicker.
Personally, I started on Campy because it was what was on the first bike I bought, but stuck with it because the briefters always fitted my hands so much better than Shimano. I actually went to a Shimano bike for about a year, coincidentally the only year I rode on clinchers too, and never felt comfortable on the briefters once.
Di2 seems appealing, easy to work with, and has proven so far despite small glitches to be very reliable. I would expect no less from Campy these days. Time will tell.
