No, I'm pretty sure somewhere in the techdoc that came with the shifters there is a section on how to adjust the shifter's trim adjustment. I didn't have to mess with it because the trim was already set correctly when I opened the box. Google this: "shimano st-6700 .pdf" -- the 3rd result is the one you want.
