I think just about everyone has a bike like that. I have an old panasonic sport 1000 that i got in horrible shape and i stripped it down and made it single speed. I used to ride it like others ride their geared bikes. It's now my beater/short distance commuting bike. To me it's priceless but to most people its just an old steel junk roadbike..
