Well, the RS-22 isn't a racing bike. It has a little longer wheelbase and a 10mm headtube extension. I use this bike primarily for long solo rides and centuries, and casual group rides. I have 25mm tires on it, and it's *very* comfortable. It feels like I could ride it forever from a comfort standpoint.
The steering on the Roadie is quicker and the bike responds quicker. I use it for faster group rides and for training rides. I like it alot. It would be easier to compare the bikes if the wheelsets were more similar, but the Waterford has much better wheels, and is lighter overall. (I can't switch wheels easily because of the different drivetrains.) If I had to choose only one bike right now, I'd go with the Waterford and put different tires on it. If I was racing, I'd get a good wheelset and go with the Gunnar. I think that might be my next upgrade -- a good, light set of general purpose wheels for the Gunnar.
