It is scary. Long ago, in a galaxy far away, I worked at Bicycle Workshop in Tenafly, NJ. I rode the high-wheeler there once. Getting up and going was surprisingly easy. Stopping and getting off was the hard part. It was like, well, you've seen me do that stunt, come to think of it.
I'm pretty sure cycling wouldn't have taken hold if they'd had Clipless Pedals on Highwheelers
