About a month ago I sent my bike across the country. I just took my handlebars, front tire, and pedals off. I got a box from an lbs for free. It shipped pretty well, although I should've used some sort of padding because there were holes where the bike touched the box. I shipped with DHL because they were the least expensive. I found cross country shipping to be rather hassle-free, but I am not sure about overseas. Are you shipping it by mail, or taking it on the plane for you?
